IFF SDK v1.8 Color Study release

July 10, 2024

As the cover of the IFF SDK v1.8 release dedicated to high-quality and faithful color reproduction, we have chosen the exciting drawing “Color Study” by the genius painter and art theorist Wassily Kandinsky.

Color Study – Squares with Concentric Circles (Farbstudie – Quadrate und konzentrische Ringe) is a small watercolor, gouache and crayon drawing on paper, which is kept in Lenbachhaus Munich art museum. It is considered one of Kandinsky’s most recognisable works, in which he explored how different colors and their combinations interact and how humans perceive the colors.

Without directly comparing this brilliant masterpiece to the Machine Vision software, we nevertheless believe that the latest SDK update is an important step forward in bringing high-performance, state of the art image processing and denoising technologies to our solutions.
